HARROW & WEALDSTONE SCOUTS

What are Beaver Scouts?

Beavers Scouts are boys and girls aged between 6 and 8 years.

They belong to the first and youngest Section in the Scouting family. They have their own programme with activity and interest badges to be gained. Young people can join Beaver Scouts in the three months leading up to their sixth birthday. They can move to the next Section, Cub Scouts, between eight and eight years six months.

The Beaver Promise

I promise to do my best,
to be kind and helpful,
and to love God.

The highest award in the Beaver Section is the Chief Scouts Bronze Award. This can be transferred onto the Cub uniform and worn until the Silver Challenge is achieved.

Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, playing games, going on visits and helping others. Outings and events are organised within the Section for your child to take part in with the programme. Events are also organised for them at District level.

What do Beaver Scouts do?

Beavers Scouts always have fun and make new friends. The aim of Beaver Scouts is to make sure that they have a good time whilst at Beavers, be it from doing artwork or playing sports. By playing games, singing songs and visiting places of interest we think that Beavers is a fantastic way to make friends and have fun.
